New Service Offering - Web Reporting
Estco is pleased to announce a powerful new web reporting service using industry leading Urchin Web Analytics software, recently purchased by Google. Estco customers are now able to access the only traffic analysis product that combines log analysis with session-based information resulting in the most accurate data available. The software has unique technology to eliminate the inaccuracies introduced by browser caching, proxy servers and other network services.

Issues also relate to healthcare IT adoption, medical education, and market research. Look for new entries continually and add your comments and thoughts

New White Paper
Estco recently attended a Pew Internet & American Life Project presentation on consumers using the Internet for healthcare information. The report breaks down how users gather data, how HIPPA policies protect or don’t protect information and predictions for the future. We have posted this interesting and factual presentation on our site.

Awards
Estco Medical won two Horizon Interactive Awards, a Gold Flash award for GE Digital Hospital and a Bronze Sales and E-Commerce award for Origene Technologies. Winning entries have demonstrated excellence in creative concept, artistic excellence, and technical execution.

Estco customer, the EHealth Initiative was also awarded a World Wide Web Health Award for their web site, which was designed and is maintained by Estco. The panel of judges, made up of leading healthcare executives, chose the best healthcare sites on the Internet in several categories. There were nearly 1,000 entries from hundreds of organizations.

Estco Medical won the Silver Aster Award for its work on the Aspect Medical OEM presentation. The Aster Awards Program provides national-level recognition for healthcare organizations and advertising agencies who strive for excellence in medical marketing.

Estco Medical has also been nominated for the American Marketing Association - DC Chapter 2005 MAwards.

Web Dictionary: Sessions
Also called a user session, a session is the series of clicks on your site by a unique IP address or an individual visitor during a specific period of time. A Session is initiated when the user accesses the site or application and ends when the user quits the application, the browser is closed or there is a period of inactivity. The number of sessions on a site is used in measuring the amount of traffic a web site gets.

Surgical Directions
Estco has launched a new Web site for Surgical Directions, www.surgicaldirections.com. Based in Chicago, Surgical Directions is dedicated to improving operational and financial performance of surgical services departments and anesthesia groups within hospitals and healthcare systems. Estco provided the strategic planning, graphic design and production for Surgical Directions’ initial site launch.

MacroGenics
Estco developed a new site for MacroGenics, a pharmaceutical drug development company. Powered by Medigent CMS, the site serves to reinforce robust antibody and vaccine programs and tracks the development schedule and market plan. Estco also developed an interactive illustration of its receptor technology that will be made available on the site and distributed for business development opportunities. The site is scheduled to officially launch to the public this month.

Allez Spine
For Allez Spine, a manufacturer of orthopedic implants and devices, Estco is developing a new site using the Medigent Collaborate platform. The site will inform, educate and provide online communities for its network of investors, service reps and clinicians. Estco will also be designing a web site to display public information and to serve as a portal to the online community.

GE Healthcare
Estco launched the new GE Digital Hospital vignette, a community level vision of the single digital hospital concept at this year's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in Dallas, Texas. The HIMSS conference focuses on the optimal use of information technology and management systems for the healthcare industry.

In collaboration with GE and VEI, Estco provided the new storyboard, multimedia strategy, graphic design and Flash development. The vignette was showcased at GE's booth at the trade show and was converted to CD-Rom to be used as a product sales tool.

IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences
Estco recently launched the IBM vignette, Information Based Medicine: A New Era in Patient Care. Focused on IBM’s vision for the future of healthcare, the Estco designed vignette describes personal medicine in the clinical research and pharmaceutical environment. The Flash demonstration showcases a technical representation of information-based medicine and the personalized healthcare vision.
